Putin to meet with Chinese and Tajik leaders

SOCHI. Feb 6 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is due to hold a series of bilateral meetings in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi on Thursday.

He is expected to meet with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

Tonight the Russian president also intends to attend a reception that International Olympic Committee (IOC) head Thomas Bach will give in honor of high-ranking guests to the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

In the past few days, Putin has attended several events in Sochi dedicated to the February 7-23 Olympics.

On February 5 he was present at the welcoming ceremony for the Russian Olympic Committee's delegation, and on February 4 IOC members were introduced to him. Putin also attended the opening meeting of the 126th IOC session in Sochi on Tuesday.
