Turkmen leader going to Sochi for Olympics opening ceremony

ASHGABAT. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow will attend the opening ceremony of the XXII Winter Olympic Games in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi.

"On February 7 President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow is going to the Russian Federation, the city of Sochi, where he will become an honorary guest to the opening ceremony of the XXII Winter Olympic Games at the invitation of the International Olympic Committee," the Turkmen State News Service said on Friday.
