Kazakhstan's gold and currency reserves rose 0.5% in January

ALMATY. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's gold and forex reserves, including gross National Bank and the National Fund reserves, stood at $95.661 billion at the end of January, a month-on-month increase of 0.5%, the National Bank said.

Kazakhstan's gold and forex reserves, including gross National Bank and National Fund reserves, totaled $95.222 billion at the end of 2013, up 10.7% over the year.

National Fund assets were $71.142 billion as of February 1, an increase of 0.85% over the month of January.

The National Bank's gross international reserves decreased 0.65% to $24.519 billion last month, and the Bank's net international reserves decreased 0.66% to $23.974 billion.

Forex assets contracted 2.25% to $18.697 billion, while gold assets increased by 4.87% to $5.822 billion.
