Rosneft mulls exporting aircraft fuel to Tajikistan
MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Rosneft is studying the possibility of shipping aircraft fuel to Tajikistan, the Russian state oil major said in a statement.
Rosneft is also prepared to increase exports of lubricants to the Central Asian country.
The potential for shipments of these oil products was discussed at a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon that was also attended by Rosneft president Igor Sechin.
Rosneft currently fuels aircraft for airlines Somon Air and Tajik Air at airports in Nizhnevartovsk, Krasnodar, Sochi and Yekaterinburg. The amount of fuel sold totalled 6,800 tonnes in 2013. Sales of lubricants to Tajikistan totalled 2,500 tonnes last year.
