Lavrov urges maximum efficiency of Russian diplomats
MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has urged maximum efficiency of Russian diplomats in the accomplishment of complex missions in global affairs.
"Our tasks are complex, and they will not become easier. The international situation requires our utmost performance and our maximum efficiency in every field of our work," Lavrov said at the Russian Foreign Ministry on Monday.
Russia celebrates the Day of Diplomatic Workers on February 10. Lavrov unveiled a memorial plaque dedicated to Russian diplomats who died in the line of duty. The names of Dmitry and Olga Vishernev who died last year in Abkhazia and Vadim Nazarov who died in the beginning of this year in Afghanistan were written on it.
Lavrov called on diplomats "to do everything for the dynamic development of the country."
