It's time for UN Security Council to pass resolution on terrorist threat in Syria - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has urged the UN Security Council to pass a resolution on the terrorist threat linked to the Syrian conflict.

"Probably it is time, as we are dealing with various aspects of the Syrian crisis and have approved the Geneva communique and a statement on humanitarian issues and are ready to confirm all principles spelled out by this statement, to speak up in a principled manner about the terrorist threat and take a systemic approach towards this problem," Lavrov replied to an Interfax question at a press conference in Moscow.
