Russia, Algeria agree to develop energy, military technical cooperation, expand it to other sectors - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Russia and Algeria will expand cooperation in various sectors, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"We have discussed our bilateral relations and quite in detail. We have agreed to maintain our efforts along the intergovernmental committees on trade and economic cooperation to give more dynamism to our ties in energy and military-technical cooperation and in order to broaden our practical cooperation and expand it into other sectors," Lavrov said at a news conference following talks with his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra in Moscow on Tuesday.

The two ministers have agreed to develop contacts in culture and humanitarian sectors and cooperation in education, Lavrov said. "All of this is in line with the two countries' interests," he said.
