Russian Air Forces receives 12 newest Su-35S fighters
KOMSOMOLSK-ON-AMUR. Feb 12 (Interfax) - The Russian Air Force's fleet of military aircraft has been expanded with 12 newest multi-role four-plus-plus-generation fighters, Sukhoi Su-35S.
The aircraft entered service in the 23rd Fighter Aviation Regiment (the airfield in Dzemgi, Khabarovsk Territory) from the Russian Air Force and Air Defense 3rd Command.
The 12 Su-35S fighters handover ceremony took place at Gagarin Aviation Plant, which manufactured these aircraft, in Komsomolsk-on-Amur on Wednesday.
The ceremony was attended by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, who flew in from Vladivostok on a working trip, and United Aircraft Corporation President Mikhail Pogosyan.
