UAC to manufacture 158 planes in 2014-2016 - UAC president and Sukhoi chief Pogosian
KOMSOMOLSK-ON-AMUR. Feb 12 (Interfax-AVN) - The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) should manufacture a total of 158 military and civilian aircraft from 2014 to 2016, UAC President Mikhail Pogosian told Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on Wednesday.
"I would like to report that we plan to manufacture 58 planes this year, taking into account the 12 aircraft [Su-35S] that we are handing over to the Air Force today. Fifty-one more planes should be made next year and another 51 in 2016," Pogosian said at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant on Wednesday.
"Annual production should average 50 aircraft," he said.
The state defense order serves as the foundation of the UAC enterprises' operations at the moment, Pogosian said. The industry received 45 billion rubles under the state defense order in 2013 and should receive more than 50 billion rubles in 2014, he said.
"Contracts worth 80 billion rubles were concluded for three years in 2013 to manufacture all types of planes, both military and civilian ones, including, in particular, the Il-112," he said.
