Russia and Egypt may hold joint Armed Forces drills

MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has said that he and his Egyptian counterpart discussed the possibility of holding joint military exercises.

"We discussed a set of concrete events of mutual interest. It includes projects to expand delegations' exchanges, hold joint maneuvers and train Egyptian servicemen at universities of the Russian Defense Ministry," Shoigu said after a 2+2 meeting of the two countries' foreign and defense ministers in Moscow on Thursday.
