Russia remains in 7th place at Sochi Olympics medal standings

SOCHI. Feb 14 (Sport-Express/Interfax) - Russian athletes won two medals at the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi on Thursday.

Russian lugers Albert Demchenko, Tatyana Ivanova, Alexander Denisyev and Vladislav Antonov took silver in the team relay competition.

Russian biathlete Yevgeny Garanichev won a bronze medal in the individual race in the Sochi Olympics.

Russia remains in seventh place at the Sochi Olympics medal standings with two gold, five silver and four bronze medals.

Germany currently tops the standings with seven gold and two silver medals, as well as one bronze. Canada is in second place (4,4,2,) and Norway is in third place (4,3,6).

Six sets of medals were handed out at the Sochi Olympics on Thursday.
