Russia ups imports of medicines 10% in 2013

MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) - Russia increased its imports of medicines 9.7% in 2013 to $11.8 billion worth, the Federal Customs Service reported.

Imports from non-CIS countries grew 9.6% to $11.659 billion. Imports from CIS countries climbed 23.5% to $145.5 million.

Russia imported 14.8% more antibiotics at $95.6 million worth. Imports from non-CIS countries amounted to $92 million, up 17.6%, and imports from CIS countries totaled $3.6 million, down 28.6%.
