Irkutskenergo boosts investment 26% to 4.98 bln rubles in 2013
MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Irkutskenergo , one of Russia's largest power companies, increased investment by 26% to 4.98 billion rubles in 2013, company materials show.
The company invested 1.6 billion rubles in overhauling equipment at combined heat-and-power plants, 776 million rubles in overhauling and modernizing equipment at hydropower plants, and 444.4 million rubles in heat networks.
The company did work at the Ust-Ilim HPP, Bratsk HPP and other facilities.
Irkutskenergo has both thermal and hydro power plants, as well as heat networks, coal mines, transport enterprises, repair plants and an enrichment plant. The company's power plants have installed capacity of 12.9 GW, including more than 9 GW at hydropower plants. The combined capacity of the company's open-pit coal mines (brown and hard coal) is 18.4 million tonnes per year.
Irkutskenergo's principal shareholders are Eurosibenergo, a division of Oleg Deripaska's En+ Group with 50.19%, and OJSC Inter RAO UES with 40%.
