Chistyukhin named Central Bank deputy chairman
MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Vladimir Chistyukhin has been named Central Bank's deputy director beginning on February 28, the Central Bank said in a statement on Friday, citing an order from the bank's head.
Chistyukhin's appointment had been expected.
Prior to September of last year, Chistyukhin headed the bank's Financial Stability Department. After the Federal Financial Markets Service (FFMS) (FMS) merged with Central Bank, he was named the first deputy head of the Central Bank's Financial Markets Service, which was set up on the basis of the FFMS.
Chistyukhin held the position of deputy director of the regulatory and supervisory department at the bank before becoming the head of the financial stability department, which handles systemic risks in the banking sector, in April 2011.
