Russian Black Sea fleet special task force may be involved in events in Crimea

KYIV. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Andriy Parubiy, secretary of the Ukrainian National Security Council, said a special task force of the Russian Black Sea fleet may be involved in the recent events in Crimea.

"The people of Crimea have no relation to the current events taking place there. It's either small groups of extremists and separatists or the troops of the Russian Black Sea fleet, that is, the Russian Black Sea special task force," he told a briefing after the meeting of the Ukrainian National Security Council on Friday.

The Ukrainian National Security Council has come up with a plan to prevent a separatist scenario from happening in Crimea.

"The Ukrainian National Security Council has come up with a plan of actions to maintain the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, a plan of measures to prevent a separatist scenario from eventuating in Crimea," Parubiy said.
