OSCE secretary general cancels visit to Kazakhstan
ASTANA. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Secretary General Lamberto Zannier has cancelled his trip to Kazakhstan on March 3-4.
The OSCE center in Almaty reported on Friday that it regretted to say that the planned trip of OSCE Secretary General Zannier to Kazakhstan had been cancelled.
Reasons for the cancelation of the visit were not disclosed.
The Secretary General will still visit the republic but it will be later, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.
"We hereby inform everyone that due to the situation in Ukraine the visit by OSCE Secretary General Zannier to the Republic of Kazakhstan has been postponed until a later date," the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
