Yanukovych says he has not met with Putin but talked with him on the phone

ROSTOV-ON-DON. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Viktor Yanukovych says he has not met with Russian President Vladimir Putin after coming to Russia but talked with him on the phone.

"I haven't met with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. I talked with him on the phone after reaching Russian territory," Yanukovych said at a press conference in Rostov-on-Don on Friday.

"We agreed that, as soon as the Russian president has the opportunity to meet with me, this meeting will take place," Yanukovych said.
