Ukrainian rightwing enters Football HQ, want president's resignation

KYIV. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Young people carrying shields and sticks and calling themselves members of the Ukrainian radical organization Right Sector entered the headquarters of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) and demanded its President Anatoly Konkov's resignation on Friday afternoon, a FFU source told Interfax.

"Some 30 people entered the building about two hours ago. Police were called in, who somewhat calmed them down. Then they proceeded to the federation president's office and presented their terms to him, demanding that he resign," the source said.

He presumed that the people had already left the FFU headquarters. Several law enforcement officials remain inside it.
