Ukraine is ready to defend its sovereignty - Yatsenyuk

KYIV. March 2 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has urged the Russian side to return its troops to places of their permanent deployment and get down to a political dialogue stressing Ukraine's readiness to defend its sovereignty.

"We are calling on the Russian side to immediately return the troops of the Black Sea Fleet to the places of their permanent deployment, to reduce tension, and through political dialogue with our Western partners, the Russian Federation and primarily through political dialogue inside of the country we will resolve all complex issues," he said after a Saturday session of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

"A military intervention in the territory of Ukraine is unacceptable," he stressed.

"We are ready to defend our sovereignty and are convinced that Russia will not resort to military intervention in the territory of Ukraine. Because such an intervention in these circumstances will be the beginning of war and the end of any relations between Ukraine and Russia," he stressed.
