Lavrov meeting with Ban in Geneva behind closed doors
GENEVA. March 3 (Interfax) - A meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon began in Geneva on Monday.
Prior to the meeting the two officials briefly touched upon the subject of the Olympic Games in Sochi, with Ban saying he was in Sochi and remained pleased with the organization of the Games, an Interfax correspondent said.
The meeting then proceeded behind closed doors.
Earlier on Monday Lavrov met in Geneva with UN Special Representative on Syria Lakhdar Brahimi and spoke in the high-level segment of the 25th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
