Ukraine crisis effects relations within CIS, Customs Union states - Kazakh leader
ASTANA. March 4 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov discussed the country's foreign policy priorities and key international topics on Tuesday.
"The ongoing situation in Ukraine is immediately effecting relations between countries within the CIS, and is having an indirect impact on the states of the Customs Union," Nazarbayev was quoted as saying during the meeting by the presidential press service.
The Kazakh president also said he had proposed "holding a meeting in the near future in order to exchange opinions and discuss measures to prevent the development of dangerous tendencies in the current situation."
Nazarbayev issued a number of instructions after the meeting, the press service said.
