Russian, French diplomats discuss Ukraine
MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov has discussed the situation in Ukraine with French diplomats.
Meshkov held consultations with head of the French Foreign Ministry's Directorate for the European Union Pierre Levi and the head of the French Foreign Ministry's Directorate for Strategic Affairs in Paris yesterday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website.
"There was a substantive exchange of views on the problem of Russia's relations with the European Union, as well as the Russian-French cooperation within the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe). A particular emphasis was made on the situation in Ukraine," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
