Sudden drills will continue in 2014 - minister

NOVO-OGARYOVO. March 5 (Interfax) - The practice of conducting sudden military drills will continue, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"Last year there were six of them, this year the first was held. I think there will be other ones," Shoigu told reporters before Russian President Vladimir Putin's meeting with the government.

All troops who were participating in the drills in the Western and Central military districts will return to their permanent bases by March 7, the defense minister aid.
