No corruption recorded among Moscow judges - Moscow City Court chair
MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - No facts of corruption have been recorded among Moscow judges, says Moscow City Court Chair Olga Yegorova.
"If facts of bribery among judges had been revealed, you would have already known about this. We receive complaints on unscrupulousness of judges, including anonymous ones. I verify them all," Yegorova said in an interview with Interfax when asked about the spread of corruption in Moscow courts.
Yegorova claimed that, over the years she has chaired the Moscow City Court, "there has been only one trial of unscrupulous judges."
"Last year, I forwarded recommendations five times to the Qualification Panel of Moscow judges on applying disciplinary measures to judges for procedural violations they had committed," she said.
Yegorova said also she was unaware of facts of misrepresentation of information on incomes by judges.
