OSCE envoy meets with Crimean Supreme Council heads
SIMFEROPOL. March 6 (Interfax) - First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Hryhoriy Ioffe met with Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Tim Guldimann on Thursday to discuss the sociopolitical situation in Ukraine and Crimea, the Crimean Supreme Council said.
"Ioffe pointed out at the meeting that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea had close and fruitful contacts with the OSCE, the world's largest regional organization dealing with security issues," says a report posted on the Crimean Supreme Council website.
The OSCE has held twelve meetings with Crimean officials since 2006, it said.
OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Astrid Thors is a member of the OSCE delegation visiting Crimea.
