Gazprombank CEO, TMH president nominated to Rosneft board

MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - The board of directors of Rosneft has reviewed proposals from shareholders for nomination of candidates to the new board and internal audit commission, the state oil major said in a statement.

New candidates for the Rosneft board are Gazprombank CEO Andrei Akimov, who also serves on the board of Gazprom , and Transmashholding (TMH) president and Kuzbassrazrezugol Coal Company chairman Andrei Bokarev.

The candidates for the new board do not include two current board directors: VTB head Andrei Kostin and Rostec chief Sergei Chemezov.

BP CEO Robert Dudley remains the British major's only candidate for the Rosneft board.

In addition to Dudley, the candidates also include current directors Matthias Warnig, managing director of Nord Stream (nominated as independent director); Nikolai Laverov, vice president of the Russian Academy of Sciences (nominated as independent director); John Mack, honorary chairman of Morgan Stanley (nominated as independent director); Alexander Nekipelov director of the Moscow School of Economics at Moscow State University; Rosneft president Igor Sechin; and former ExxonMobil senior vice president Donald Humphreys.
