Ukraine to be visited by CoE chief, European foreign ministers in next few days
KYIV. March 8 (Interfax) - The heads of foreign policy from Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Austria, as well as the Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) will be visiting Ukraine over the next few days, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinys said at a briefing on Friday.
On March 9-10, Ukraine will be visited by Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and European Affairs Didier Reynders, Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn and Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans. The visit is expected to focus on the current situation in Ukraine, including the developments in the Crimean peninsula.
On March 10 Ukraine will be visited by Austrian Minister of International Affairs Sebastian Kurz, who is currently chairing the CoE Committee of Ministers, and CoE Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland. During their visit they will meet with Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.
