People of Crimea know how to vote in March 16 referendum - Crimean parliament speaker
SIMFEROPOL. March 9 (Interfax) - Volodymyr Konstantynov, chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, has called on the people of Crimea to vote in the Crimean referendum on March 16.
"I brought good news from Moscow. Our brotherly people are taking us. We will become a region of Russia. In order for that to happen, we need to come to the referendum on March 16 and vote in the right way, and we know what the right way to vote is," he told a rally in support of the inclusion of Crimea into Russia held in Simferopol.
Rustam Temirgaliyev, first deputy prime minister of Crimea, for his part, said the attempts made by the Kyiv administration to impose sanctions on Crimea will not produce the desired effect.
"The current administration in Kyiv is threatening to stop supplying electrical power and water to us, but we are not afraid. The people of Crimea cannot be conquered. We have examples of that in our history, our hero cities," he said.
