Yanukovych to ask U.S. Congress, Supreme Court to assess Washington's Ukraine policies
ROSTOV-ON-DON. March 11 (Interfax) - Viktor Yanukovych has announced that he will ask the Congress and the Supreme Court of the United States to give a legal assessment of the U.S. administration's policies toward Ukraine.
"I intend to address the Congress, the Senate and the Supreme Court of the U.S. and urgently suggest that they give a legal assessment of the policies being pursued by the government of this country," Yanukovych told reporters in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, on Tuesday.
"Your own laws give you no right to give money to bandits," he said.
"Everyone is aware of the U.S. government's plans to allocate $1 billion for this bandit regime. As far as I know, U.S. laws prohibit extending financial assistance to the government of any state where the legitimately elected president was ousted as a result of a military coup or any other illegal decision," Yanukovych said.
