NATO activity near Russian border, Ukrainian events have no effect on foreign inspection missions - ministry

MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax-AVN) - The Ukrainian events and the intensified NATO activity along Russian borders have had no effect on foreign inspection missions in Russia, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said.

"Despite the complicated military-political situation around Ukraine" and the intensified NATO activity along Russian borders, there have been no problems with the arrangement of inspection missions in Russia," Antonov told reporters on Wednesday.

He noted that the Russian Defense Ministry voluntarily informed its partners over the past year "about its military activity even in the cases when its parameters did not exceed the limits set by relevant agreements."
