Russia, China simplifying travel regulations

MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law ratifying the agreement between Russia and China easing travel regulations, the Kremlin press office said.

The agreement will create more favorable conditions for the development and enhancement of contacts between the two countries, firstly between representatives of business, science, culture and sports circles, the press office said in a statement.

"The agreement stipulates the introduction of visa-free travel for holders of business passports for up to 30 days, in addition to existing visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic passports, and considerable simplification of visa requirements for mutual trips of various categories of the two countries' citizens," the document said.
