Russian Black Sea Fleet not interfering in Crimea referendum - Moscow's UN envoy
MOSCOW. March 14 (Interfax) - The Russian Black Sea Fleet is in no way involved in the process of Crimea's March 16 referendum, Moscow's ambassador to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, said.
"The Russian Black Sea Fleet is not interfering in any way in the process of holding a referendum that has been announced and is being organized by the Crimean people themselves," Churkin said at the UN Security Council's meeting on Ukraine.
"The previous speakers mentioned the activities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea. We consider them as lawful," he said.
