Supporters of Crimea's pro-Russian movements hold demo in Moscow
MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - Russian party Essence of the Times has held a procession and rally "in support of Crimea and against fascism" in central Moscow on Saturday.
The "March of Brotherhood and Civil Resistance" started off on Trubnaya Square and ended up in a rally on Revolution Square near the Kremlin, an Interfax correspondent reported from the scene.
"We must rally together and state that there will be no Maidan in Moscow," Essence of the Times leader Sergei Kurginyan told the rally. He credited Russia with "a soft and reserved reaction to the actions of the gang who has usurped power" in Ukraine.
The marchers included people with flags of the ruling United Russia party, the Liberal Democratic Party and the Officers of Russia group, and with Orthodox religious banners.
The city police authority put the turnout at about 15,000.
