Crimea asks to be included into Russia - Crimean parliament resolution
MOSCOW. March 17 (Interfax) - The Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has asked Russia to be admitted as its region.
"The Republic of Crimea represented by the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has proposed that the Russian Federation admit the Republic of Crimea into the Russian Federation as a new constituent region of the Russian Federation with the status of a republic," the Supreme Council said in a decree "On the Independence of Crimea," passed on Monday.
