New sanctions regarding Russia could be introduced soon - EU Ambassador to Russia Vygaudas Usackas

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - The European Union could pass new sanctions regarding Russia in the short term but these sanctions will not apply to ordinary Russian citizens, EU Ambassador to Russia Vygaudas Usackas said.

New sanctions could be introduced soon, Usackas told Interfax on March 17 when asked whether the EU could introduce new sanctions regarding Russia on top of those announced on March 17.

These sanctions will not concern ordinary citizens because they can not be responsible for the policy of the country's leadership, Usackas said.
