Finance Ministry not planning Eurobond placement this spring - Storchak
MOSCOW. March 19 (Interfax) - The Russian Finance Ministry has no plans to place bonds on the international debt market this spring and has yet to select the investment banks to organize a potential placement of sovereign Eurobonds, Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak told journalists.
"Let the banks give us bearings concerning the situation, trends, outlook. That's their job," Storchak said.
Asked when the process of selecting the organizing banks would begin, Storchak said it would depend on the current workload. "We will work on it of course. The selection will be carried out under the defined criteria as well as on the basis of the presentations currently available," he said.
The selection of banks will depend on the quality of the documents, on "how realistically the banks represent their abilities, whether they are ready to reckon with our interests," he said.
