Crimea State Council imposes travel ban on 200 Ukrainian political figures

SIMFEROPOL. March 21 (Interfax) - Up to 200 Ukrainian political figures have been banned from entering Crimea by the presidium of the republic's State Council.

Crimea's resolution entitled "On persons engaged in anti-Crimean activities whose presence on the territory of the republic is undesirable", was passed on Friday in response to a number of decisions adopted by Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, an Interfax correspondent reported.

This list includes "Ukrainian parliamentarians who voted in favor of terminating the powers of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Crimea and declaring the republic a demilitarized zone". The Crimea State Council's travel ban applies to 19 MPs from the Party of Regions, 83 Batkivshchyna MPs, 37 UDAR MPs, 35 Svoboda MPs, as well as Right Sector leaders.
