Putin appoints Bulavintsev envoy in newly formed Crimean federal district

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the formation of the Crimean federal district and appointing presidential envoy to it.

"I signed several decrees today, including the decree on the formation of one more federal district - the Crimean federal district - and Oleg Vladimirovich Bulavintsev has been appointed Russian presidential envoy in Crimea," Putin said following the ceremony on signing laws on the accession of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia.

"We have a lot of work ahead on Crimea's adaptation and on its joining Russia's legal system, the Russian economy and the social sphere," Putin said.
