Two gunmen killed in ongoing antiterrorist operation in Ingushetia - National Antiterrorist Committe

MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax) - A group of gunmen has been neutralized in a counterterrorist operation in the village of Pliyevo in Ingushetia, the National Antiterrorist Committee told Interfax on Saturday.

A Federal Security Service (FSB) officer was injured in the operation, it said.

"The active phase of the special operation is continuing," it said.

"Two criminals were neutralized during the armed clash, and one of them has been identified preliminarily as a member of the so-called Pliyevo gang. Automatic weapons have been found at the scene. During the examination of the nearby houses, several improvised explosive devices with anti-disturbance elements were found in one of them. Bomb disposal experts are taking measures to defuse them," it said.

"A serviceman from the FSB department for Ingushetia sustained a minor wound. No civilians have been injured," it said.
