Russian Union of Rescuers sends another humanitarian convoy to Crimea
MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Over 100 tonnes of humanitarian cargo will be sent from the Moscow region to Crimea on Monday.
"Humanitarian aid will be sent from the House of the Moscow Region Government on March 24. The Russian Union of Rescuers, an all-Russia public organization, organizes the third [humanitarian convoy]," the press service of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry told Interfax.
The government of the Moscow region, the administrations of the Central and Northwestern Regions and Moscow, and Russian residents donated to the humanitarian campaign.
"In all, over 100 tonnes of humanitarian cargo have been donated, among them power generators, foods, primary necessities, drugs, breeder seeds, textbooks, medical equipment, household appliances, office stationary and construction materials. Besides, the convoy incorporates firefighting equipment: two fire engines mounted on the Kamaz truck chassis, a 50-meter skylift, and a fuelling complex," the ministry said.
