Moscow demands security guarantees for Russian representative offices in Kyiv - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Russia demands that the Ukrainian leadership take measures to ensure the security of all of Russia's representative offices in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"The recent raid became possible because the new Ukrainian leadership has lost control over the situation in Kyiv and due to the fact that an atmosphere of legal nihilism and all-permissiveness has taken hold in Ukraine. We demand that Kyiv leadership take effective measures to ensure the security and normal functioning of all of the Russian Federation's official representative offices in Ukraine," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website in the wake of Ukrainian ultranationalist attempt to break into the headquarters of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) in Kyiv.
