Ukraine paid $75 mln on 2010 Eurobonds issues totaled $2 bln
KYIV. March 24 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Finance Ministry paid $75.313 million coupon on Eurobonds placed in 2010 for $2 billion, the Finance Ministry said on its website.
The ministry said the payments took place on Friday and were in full.
Ukraine placed five-year Eurobonds worth $500 million in September 2010 at 6.875% to be settled in 2015 and ten-year issue worth $1.5 billion at 7.75% (2020).
According to data from the State Treasury Service, between the beginning of 2014 and March 17, some 6.2 billion hryvnia were used to service Ukraine's debt (including 4.64 billion hryvnia in internal debt). Plans include paying 8.51 billion hryvnia in the first quarter. A total of 14.14 billion hryvnia has been paid to settle the state debt, while the plan for the quarter calls for 25.85 billion hryvnia.
Government borrowing between the beginning of this year and March 17 totaled 24.05 billion hryvnia, all on the domestic market.
The exchange rate on March 24 was 10.1965 hryvnia/$1.
