Russia to deliver humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees in Jordan

MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry plane will bring humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees in Jordan, ministry spokesman Alexander Drobyshevsky told Interfax.

"Consistent with the Russian president's order, an Ilyushin Il-86 plane of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has taken off from the Ramenskoye airfield to supply humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees in Jordan," Drobyshevsky said.

The plane took aboard approximately 40 tonnes of humanitarian cargo, including a mobile power plant, tents, blankets and food, he reported.
