West's sanctions regarding Russia to impede work on resolving Ukrainian crisis - Russian rep to OSCE
MOSCOW. March 25 (Interfax) - The sanctions of the West against Russia due to the situation in Ukraine do not have a serious effect on Russia, however they impede efficient work in the international arena on resolving the Ukrainian crisis, Russian Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, Andrei Kelin, said.
"Sanctions and threats prevent the work because when you are trying to do something constructively, while you are threatened all the time, you understand how one is forced to treat this," Kelin said during a Moscow-Vienna video conference.
"In this case most time, which could have been spent usefully to search for some solutions, will be spent on repelling baseless accusations - some of which are just ridiculous, some of which are based on false information - this obstructs a lot," Kelin said.
