Opposition plans to stage freedom of speech rally in Moscow on April 13

MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - The opposition has filed an application with the Moscow authorities for conducting another protest - a procession and rally on April 13, opposition activist and journalist Aleksandr Ryklin told Interfax.

"Today the application was filed for the April 13 rally - we are planning a procession from Turgenevskaya Square as far as Pushkinskaya Square where the rally will take place," Ryklin said.

The procession and rally will be in defense of the freedom of speech, he said.

Up to 50,000 people are expected to participate, according to the application.

The event is organized by the Protests Committee, Ryklin said.
