Surplus of Russian consolidated budget, extra-budgetary funds 745.2 bln rubles in Jan - Rosstat

MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax) - The consolidated Russian budget, and the budgets of state extra-budgetary funds, showed a surplus of 745.2 billion rubles in January this year versus a surplus of 288.4 billion rubles in the same month of last year, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Wednesday.

Russia's consolidated budget revenues - factoring in state extra-budgetary funds - amounted to 1.726 trillion rubles (1.592 trillion rubles in January 2013) and expenditures to 981.1 billion rubles (1.303 trillion rubles).

The bulk of the revenues - 398.7 billion rubles - was from foreign trade activities (346.4 billion rubles in January 2013). Taxes, fees, and regular payments for the use of natural resources accounted for 243.4 billion rubles (208.2 billion rubles), mandatory social insurance payments for 227.7 billion rubles (207.5 billion rubles), VAT on goods sold in Russia for 192.0 billion rubles (172.3 billion rubles), VAT on goods imported into Russia for 105.0 billion rubles (99.0 billion rubles), personal income taxes for 133.6 billion rubles (126.2 billion), profit taxes for 100.6 billion rubles (110.9 billion rubles), excises on goods produced in Russia for 126.4 billion rubles (98.3 billion rubles), excises on goods imported into Russia for 4 billion rubles (3 billion rubles), and property taxes for 28.5 billion rubles (27.2 billion rubles).

Of consolidated budget spending in January, social and cultural measures received 550.2 billion rubles (727 billion rubles in January 2013), national security and law and order 119.6 billion rubles (98.2 billion rubles).

Spending on the national economy amounted to 95.4 billion rubles (107.4 billion rubles), on general state matters 89.8 billion rubles (89.6 billion rubles), on national defense 68.1 billion rubles (226 billion rubles), on servicing state and municipal debt 30.4 billion rubles (33.1 billion rubles), and on residential and commercial services 24.7% billion rubles (21.1 billion rubles).

Russia's federal budget was implemented in January with a surplus of 565.5 billion rubles, versus a 15.6 billion-ruble deficit in the same month of last year. Revenues were 1.327 trillion rubles (1.093 trillion rubles) and expenditures 761.2 billion rubles (1.109 trillion rubles).
