Russia-U.S.-EU-Ukraine meeting possible in Europe next week - source

MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - The United States, the European Union, Ukraine and Russia may hold a quadripartite meeting dedicated to the Ukrainian situation and attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in a European country next week.

"A quadripartite meeting involving Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, which may take place in Europe next week, is under consideration," a source from the Russian Foreign Ministry told Interfax on Wednesday.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations on Tuesday he had agreed with Lavrov to hold the quadripartite meeting on Ukraine in Europe next week.

The European Union confirmed that diplomacy chiefs of Russia, the EU, the U.S. and Ukraine had agreed to meet in Europe in about ten days.
