Ukrainian banks closing their Crimea branches

MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - All Ukrainian banks may shut down their branches in Crimea within the next two weeks, the Kryminform news agency has reported, citing the republic's First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Temirgaliyev.

"The Ukrainian banks are fleeing. Out of the huge network of Ukrainian banks, only four banks are maintaining sketchy operations [in Crimea] today. Furthermore, the information available to us suggests that these banks may stop their work there within two weeks," Temirgaliyev said.
