Killers of Dagestani police major shot dead in special operation - source

MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Police have identified the assailants who killed Maj. Mikail Magomedov in the Kizilyurt district of Dagestan in November 2013, a police representative told Interfax.

"The crime was perpetrated by Askhab Askhabov, Isamutdin Bakarov and Eldar Magatov," he said.

The three militants were killed in special operations in the Khasavyurt and Kizilyurt districts of Dagestan in early 2014, the source added.

It was reported in November 2013 that three unknown men opened automatic gunfire at the car of the police major in the Kizilyurt district of Dagestan. The officer died instantly.
