Lavrov: attempts to legitimize Ukrainian Maidan govt must stop
MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Moscow believes in the possibility of a de-escalation of the Ukrainian crisis.
"I think it is quite possible to deescalate the Ukrainian crisis," Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told Russian NGOs on Friday.
"It is necessary to stop pushing the accomplished facts and attempting to legitimize the Maidan government at any cost" in order to achieve this goal, he said.
Besides, there is a need for a real rather than "cosmetic" constitutional reform, Lavrov indicated.
